A Central Texas Bachelorette fan got the chance of a lifetime over the weekend to meet one of her favorite former contestants.

Allison Dickson was born with a rare form of muscular dystrophy but she's still finding ways to inspire others.

When Dickson heard Luke Pell, a former contestant on the ABC show "The Bachelorette," was going to be in Central Texas for a concert. She reached out to see if she could meet him because she couldn't travel to the show for medical reasons.

Pell offered to drive to Temple to meet Dickson before his concert in Waco.

"He was so nice. So much better than I never dreamed he would be. He was genuine, authentic, just real genuine which was great," Dickson said after meeting Pell.

The two talked about life and how Allison graduated from Southwestern University and Baylor Law School.

"It was just an amazing a really refreshing thing for me to hear Allison's story and it's encouraging I guess to know people are out there that have the same kind of heart that I do that you want to leave a legacy," Pell said.

Luke talked about his experience in the military, becoming a contestant on the Bachelorette and continuing his music career.

"Been through heartbreak and he's moved on and he's trying to make a new career path and being successful. He's a survivor. So I kind of really related to that part of his story," Dickson said.

It wouldn't be a Bachelor meet up without someone getting a rose. Dickson asked Pell to accept a rose, which he did. Pell then asked Dickson to accept a rose.

"I'm very thankful that now I can call him a friend," Dickson said.

Luke Pell said he is continuing his music career and will be releasing an EP in January.
