The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation held a concert benefiting hurricane relief efforts featuring all five living former U.S. presidents.

The “Deep from the Heart: One American Appeal” concert took place on Oct. 21 at Texas A&M University’s Reed Arena.

The concert featured ALABAMA, Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen, The Gatlin Brothers, Yolanda Adams, Cassadee Pope, Stephanie Quayle and Lee Greenwood. Lady Gaga also made a performance - surprising the crowd and announcing her $1 million donation.

Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter spoke at the concert. Former Vice President Dick Cheney, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, and Senator Ted Cruz were also in attendance.

All the ticket sales and other proceeds from the event went to hurricane relief. During the concert, it was announced that over $31 million has been raised for the One America Appeal hurricane relief fund.

A video message from President Donald Trump also aired during the concert.

The event sold out within 24 hours after ticket sales opened.

All five former presidents have not been together since the opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas in 2013.
