The Burleson County Sheriff's Office said they are investigating a case of an improper relationship between a teacher and several students at Caldwell High School.

The Sheriff's Office was notified on Sept. 12 by school officials and the investigation began immediately.

The investigation showed the teacher had a relationship with a 16-year-old student that began in the beginning of 2017.

A warrant was issued for 24-year-old Aracely Sauceda of Bryan. Sauceda turned herself in, into the Burleson County Jail on Sept. 16, 2017.

She was charged with improper relationship between educator and student and indecency with a child.

She posted a $50,000 bond and was released the same day.

More charges are pending in the case and the investigation is ongoing.

The Caldwell School District issued the following statement:

"Caldwell ISD received information that a teacher was having an inappropriate relationship with a student. The  information was acted upon by the administration, including asking the Burleson County Sheriff's Office to assist us in the investigation. The teacher was put on administrative leave and then resigned this past Monday.

Caldwell Independent School District strongly condemns teacher-student inappropriate relationships  and we remain committed to our students’ welfare."
