Bellmead police have arrested a suspect after the BBVA/Compass Bank was robbed on Thursday.
Police responded to a report of an aggravated robbery at the bank located at 4010 Bellmead Dr.
Witnesses told the officers that a man, identified as Brian Bradley Jackson, entered the front of the bank and approached the bank teller. Jackson shook his pocket leading the teller to believe he possibly had a weapon. He told the teller to give him all the money. The teller emptied her bank drawer and gave Jackson an unknown amount of money.
Another witness heard Jackson say he had a gun and don’t make him pull it out.
The suspect fled on foot before officers arrived.
Jackson was arrested at a hotel on the 4000 block of I-35 in Waco.
He was taken to the McLennan County Jail and is being booked for second-degree felony robbery.
