Friday is World Rhino Day, and you can celebrate the day by seeing some rhinos in person.

Rhinos Babe, Jaba, and Ethel call the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco their home. They share the rhino exhibit in the African Savannah part of the zoo.

On Friday morning, zoo guests will be able to make some rhino-themed crafts and hear what it's like to work with mammals as big as rhinos.

"I really enjoy their size. Their size is never an intimidation factor for me at all. Because their personalities are so mellow, it's actually kinda fun," animal care manager for mammals Manda Butler said.

They might be surprised by what they learn, too.

"They're always surprised to hear [rhinos] can shape their horn how they want to. So when they see Jaba and they see his horn that's really long and sticks out of his face, they're always like, 'Why does it look like that?' And it's because they can shape it how they want it to," education coordinator Jacquelyn Wilson said.

They can learn more about Jaba, his horn, and the other two rhinos from 10 a.m. until about noon.

It costs $10 to get in. It's $7 for kids four to 12 years old.
