Search warrant obtained for suspected heroin dealer involved in attack on officer

The vehicle and home of a suspect involved in an incident where a Waco police officer was struck and pinned by an SUV was going to be searched for drugs and other paraphernalia. 

The search warrant listed Kerry Bradley, 37, as the suspect who was selling heroin. Officers were going to search Bradley's home on the 3200 block of N. 24th, as well as his vehicle. 

Waco police said that they were serving the search warrant when the incident happened on Tuesday. They were working with the drug enforcement unit and the SWAT team.

During the incident, Officer William Graeber began to approach the vehicle with the suspect, Kerry Bradley in it. Bradley then accelerated and pinned Graeber under the vehicle.

Per his criminal records, Bradley had several previous drug possession offenses, evading arrest with vehicle offenses and assault causing bodily injury offenses. 

Waco police also said that the officer and Bradley were transported to an area hospital after being injured in the incident.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the hospital from his gunshot injuries, according to Waco police.
