The city of Waco said that due to a leak and low to no water pressure, they are notifying all customers in certain areas of the city to boil their water.

Residents in west Old Lorena Rd. from Bluebonnet Ln. north to Riverview Rd, Summer Harvest Dr, Leutwyler Ln, El Gato Ln, Chapel Rd, east of Old Lorena Rd. are being asked to boil their water prior to consumption.

The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from another suitable source.

Water Utility crews are currently on-site and will continue working until the leak is repaired and water pressure is restored.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, water system officials will notify all that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.
