Waco DPS said they are investigating a car chase that happened this morning in Hillsboro.
A silver Dodge Charger from San Antonio was stopped for a traffic violation at IH 35 SB MP 373.
The driver was out of the car with the Trooper and the male passenger jumped into driver's seat, sped off SB IH 35 at speeds over 100 M.P.H.
The Trooper chased the Dodge and lost sight of the Dodge.
The Dodge was located at a convenience store at MP 359 SB.
A black Mercedes driven by a female picked up the original male driver near MP 373 and later after investigating the Black Mercedes picked up the other male driver near the store.
The Mercedes continued traveling SB IH 35.
DPS is in the area investigating.
