A man is dead after an overnight shooting in Waco, police said. The man has been identified as 24-year-old Deon Love from Waco.
Waco police officers responded to a shooting about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Jesters on La Salle.
Officers found out someone had shot and killed Love, police spokesperson Sgt. Patrick Swanton said. Police determined two men were arguing before the shooting.
The suspect, 31-year-old Eric Hernandez, shot the 24-year-old victim in the back several times, he said.
Hernandez left the bar before officers arrived. Police later found him and arrested him.
Hernandez is being charged with murder.
An autopsy has been ordered for Love.
