While children are enjoying the summer, one group of community members is already preparing for the next school year.

Residents of Harker Heights came together Monday to plan the Ultimate Back to School Bash.

This will be the sixth year My Tutor or More has put on the event in hopes of raising school supplies for the Killeen Independent School District Homeless Awareness Response Program.

Although the event is not until August, they are still looking for your help.

"They can help volunteer at the registration table and with activities, monitoring 'bouncies' or at the collection sight, a check-in point for performances or the DJ booth. There are just lots of areas they can volunteer at," event organizer Tina Capito said.

The event will be Aug. 4 from 6-9 at Carl Levin Park in Harker Heights.

Knocking Out the Homeless with be the following Saturday.
