New details have come out about Monday's shooting at the T-Mobile Cellular Store located at 3207 E. Central Texas Expressway in Killeen on Monday involving a suspect and multiple officers.

Police received a 911 call about an armed robbery around 4:14 p.m., and police arrived shortly after.

When officers got to T-mobile -- they confronted a suspect as he was leaving the store.

The suspect, who DPS identified as Dezion Turner, 15, took fled on foot and Police said the suspect opened fire on three officers, who returned fire.

Turner received a fatal gunshot wound during the exchange.

Justice of the peace Claudia Brown pronounced the suspect dead just after six Monday night.

The Killeen Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and Texas Rangers responded to the scene and an investigation is ongoing, being led by the Rangers.

Jammie Blunt was at the shopping strip shortly after Monday's shooting and said he couldn't believe the chaos happening outside the shopping strip in Killeen.

"My wife wanted to come down to exchange some stuff at DD's and I was like 'baby, you know there is supposedly a shooting over there,' but we came anyway and to our surprise there was a lot of chaos," Blunt said.

Blunt said although he didn't see the shooting himself he talked to several people that did.

"I was also told that some young men were robbing some things out of T-mobile and they had guns on them and after a gun battle took place one of the kids lost their life," Bunt added.

Blunt said after a day like Monday and many just like it something has to change.

"Local officials, councilman, mayor come together and come up with an idea or a plan yo make the city of Killeen a more productive area for our younger generation because right now they have idle minds and they are getting into negative things," Blunt said.

The Texas Rangers are leading the ongoing investigation and News Channel 25 has reached out to them for the latest information.
