2 Central Texas cities acknowledged for decreased crime rate

CENTRAL TEXAS (KXXV) -

The crime rate in Killeen has gone down by 21 percent in five years.

The most recent study shows a decrease in the amount of total crimes by 1,024, a decrease in violent crimes by just over 100 and a decrease in property crime by 923.

Waco was also noticed for their low crime rates.

With total crime decreasing by over one-thousand, violent crime decreasing by 125 and property crime going down by 936.

According to FBI data complied by Graphiq, Killeen is ranked 12th and Waco is ranked 23rd out of 97 cities that have seen decreased crimes rates.
