Baylor acrobatics & tumbling junior back/base Lauren Sturm was named National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Player of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.

Sturm earned the honor for the second time in her career, both this season, as she was also honored on Feb. 24. She is the first in program history two garner the award twice in a season and gives BU a program-record third honoree this season after Kiara Nowlin grabbed the accolade on March 14. All seven weekly awards from the NCATA in Baylor history have come under the direction of third-year head coach Felecia Mulkey.

Sturm helped Baylor to a 10.0 score in the Compulsory Toss Heat and was involved in four of the Bears' five highest scoring heats that were all scored at 9.95 or above. Her performance helped Baylor score a season-high total score (287.825) for the third straight meet.
