Temple Police, FBI looking for man who fired shots, robbed bank

The Temple Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigations are investigating after a man allegedly fired shots and robbed a bank Wednesday morning.

It happened shortly after 9 a.m. at the Temple Santa Fe Community Credit Union on West Avenue A and South 33rd Street. 

Police said a man carrying what appeared to be an AK-47-style weapon allegedly fired multiple shots into the ceiling and demanded money.

He left the scene in a 1998 to early 2000 silver or gray quad cab Dodge Ram 1500 pickup.

Police said he was wearing a mask and dark clothing at the time of the robbery.

Police wouldn't say how much money he got away with.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The Temple Police Department and the FBI are investigating.
