One man is still at large after a high speed chase ended in a wreck on Waco Drive.

Three men in a vehicle were speeding on Lake Shore Drive in McLennan County around 3:35 p.m. when the Department of Public Safety attempted to pull them over.

The car continued at speeds over 100 m.p.h. and drove on the wrong side of U.S. 77.

The vehicle crashed into a fence on the 800 block of Garrison and Waco Drive.

The driver and two passengers ran out of the vehicle. One passenger surrendered to police. The driver, Ricky Torres, 25, was chased by a trooper and caught two blocks away from the accident.

The other passenger is still at large.

Torres is facing a felony charge of Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Intoxicated, and having an invalid license.

Torres was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest to be evaluated and is being held at McLennan County Jail.
