Chip and Joanna Gaines have confirmed they plan on turning the Elite Café into their own restaurant.
Magnolia will also be holding an auction to support Mission Waco on Sept. 10 - featuring items found in the historic Elite Café, including the iconic sign and blue Cadillac.
All proceeds will be donated to Mission Waco.
Mission Waco has been working to bring a local grocery store to the food deserts in the North Waco area for the last eight months.
They need an estimated $28,906 to complete the project.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event is open to the public and free to register.
