TEMPLE, TX (KXXV) -

A Central Texas superintendent is a finalist for Superintendent of the Year.

Dr. Robin Battershell, superintendent for Temple Intermediate School District, is one of five finalists for the Texas Association of School Boards’ (TASB) Superintendent of the Year award.

Battershell has been with Temple ISD for eight years and has had 18 years in total experience of education administration.

Battershell serves over eight thousand students.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, masters from Midwestern State University, and her doctorate from the University of North Texas.

Battershell will travel to Houston for the TASB convention Friday, September 23, where the finalist will be announced.
