After 20 years on the Nightbeat, News Channel 25’s Ann Harder will be stepping down as the 10 p.m. news anchor. Ann will continue to co-anchor the 5 p.m. and the 6 p.m. newscast, but her nights are now free to spend time with her family.

Ann is a native Wacoan and a graduate of Baylor University. Her career in journalism spans over 35 years, with experience in both radio and television.

A vocalist, Ann sings for several civic and church groups in Central Texas.

Ann also serves on a number of boards, such as the Waco ISD Education Foundation and the Center for Learning and Development.

In Ann’s absence, anchor Seth Kovar will anchor the Nightbeat solo until the debut of Makenzi Henderson, who will co-anchor the Nightbeat starting September 5.

To continue to see Ann Harder every weekday, tune into the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts or stream the newscast here.
