A woman is in jail after assaulting a police officer who was attempting to remove her from the street.
Lacy Lakeview police were called to Highway 77 and Loop 340 Tuesday morning just after 1 a.m. Police received reports of a woman who was in the middle of oncoming traffic.
Police Chief Truehitt identified the woman as Anna Guerra. When police approached Guerra, they say she was intoxicated and slapped the officer multiple times.
The officer was not injured. Guerra was arrested with Felony assault to a public servant.
