Waco Police have identified the suspect involved in an officer-involved shooting in North Waco.

The suspect was identified as Jonathon Tucker Gober, 32, was wanted for a Felony Probation Violation for Federal Counterfeiting. He ran from numerous officers.

Police, with the help of a U.S. Marshal task force, were attempting to arrest the suspect at a home on the 2500 block of N. 29th.

Gober ran from police and a foot chase ensued.

Police were aware that Gober could be armed due to a family tip, and Gober also showed his gun to officers.

Two officers, Ofc. Joey Kimble and Josh McCuistion, then shot their weapons when Gober showed his weapon.

Gober was hit from gunfire and was transported to Baylor Scott & White where he underwent emergency surgery for a gunshot wound to the arm, abdomen, and leg.

The officers have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
