In the wake of the Dallas ambush on police officers, several areas and locations are blocked off in Downtown Dallas.
Five officers were gunned down when a shooter ambushed them. Civilians that were either participating in the protest or in the area scattered in the chaos.
Minu Barbosa-Concha, an employee at Dallas’ El Centro College, was in the area at the time of the shooting.
Barbosa-Concha described the chaos as police rushed her out of the building.
Police radio chatter was audible when a dispatcher announced an officer was dead and some of the protesters cheered.
“It was upsetting for me, because that’s a life,” said Barbosa-Concha. “They’re human beings regardless of profession, race, gender, or anything that is life. That’s a human being life.”
