A Bell County man is in jail after an aggravated sexual assault that took place in 2011.
The Bell County Sheriff’s Special Crimes Unit received a sexual assault report from Child Protective Services.
A 12-year-old victim reported that she had been assaulted by a family member in her home.
In May, the suspect, Alva Gwinn, 37, was investigated by police and barricaded himself in a Killeen home, threatening to harm himself.
Gwinn surrendered to police after several hours.
Gwinn is charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and is being held in the Bell County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
