The names of the women who were knocked off the overpass on I-35 Monday were mother, 23-year-old Jennifer Duncan, her child, 8-month-old Daniel Vega and 25-year-old Ashley Anderson.

Two women and an infant were transported to the hospital after a series of car accidents on I-35.

The first accident happened before 7:00 a.m. The vehicles pulled over to the side of the road after the accident.

As people were trying to get everyone off the interstate, another crash occurred that sent a truck into the two women, one holding the baby.

Those three individuals were either knocked off the bridge by the truck or they had to jump to avoid being hit.

The child and the women were responsive, but had significant injuries. Police said the two woman had broken bones and internal injuries, but the baby had only a scratch due to the mother shielding the baby during the fall.

Accident reconstruction is on the scene. The area is down to one lane.

The accident happened near the intersection of 4th St and I-35.

Wet roads are suspected to be a factor in the accidents.
