West and Ross Volunteer Fire Departments teamed up to put out the fire on a burning semi-truck.

West Fire Department received the call about the big rig fire on Interstate 35, between northbound exit 351 and southbound exit 449, at about 8 a.m. A volunteer firefighter from Ross arrived to help the West Fire Department.

An official from West said it took the team one hour to put the fire out.

The cause of the fire is an inner tire that caught on fire.
