Police are now releasing more details on a body that was recovered from Lake Waco near the Twin Bridges on March 18.

Officials said a fisherman spotted the body in the water and contacted authorities.

The body was described as a white or Hispanic man between the ages of 40 and 50, and between 5’4 and 5’10” in height. The man did not have any upper teeth and only seven front teeth on his lower jaw.

Police also said the victim had a tattoo of what appears to be a bear claw on his upper left arm and some writing under it, but the writing was illegible.

The man was wearing a pair of tan Sperry shoes, a dark long sleeve shirt and dark cotton pants.

The Waco Fire Department assisted with the recovery of the body, which was badly decomposed when found.

Police have no further details at this time, but we will continue to update the story.
