Hicks, Hilliard Highlight TCU Invitational First Day

FORT WORTH, Texas - Three members of Baylor's track and field team kicked off the outdoor season by taking part in the TCU Invitational discus competition Thursday at Lowdon Track and Field Complex.

The trio of Bears was led by sophomore Cion Hicks, who placed fourth in the event with a best throw of 166-3 [50.68m]. That toss came on the final throw of her six-attempt series.

Meanwhile in the men’s competition, Desmine Hilliard was also fourth with a mark of 168-0 [51.20m]. That throw was on the second of Hilliard’s three attempts. All competitors in the event only got three throws due to darkness.

WHAT'S NEXT
Baylor will be back in action at the TCU Invitational on Friday. The field events will begin at 9 a.m., while running events start up at 1 p.m.
