The Lampasas Police Department and the Texas Rangers are investigating after a woman was found dead in a park Tuesday afternoon in Lampasas.
Officers found the body of a 45-year-old female in a creek area in Campbell Park around 2:00 p.m. Authorities said it appeared she had been living in the area.
The woman's name has not been released.
The cause of death is under investigation.
An autopsy has been ordered.
