UPDATE: The McLennan County grand jury has returned indictments against former Waco High School Assistant Band Director Jason Ronald Hodges related to an inappropriate teacher-student relationship.

Hodges was indicted on a count of improper relationship between an educator and a student, two counts of sexual assault of a child, and five counts of indecency with a child by contact.

Hodges turned himself in to Waco ISD police back in January, when allegations against him were first brought to school administrators on January 12, 2015.

Hodges was immediately removed from the classroom. His resignation was submitted that same day.

Court documents state Hodges started a relationship with a Waco ISD student at the end of November.

The victim told Waco ISD police Hodges kissed her and touched her both on top and under her clothes several times while they were alone at the band hall in Waco High School.

According to Waco ISD, Hodges had been with the district since August of 2013. Before that, he was employed at Itasca I.S.D. and Waxahachie I.S.D.
