An employee of a subcontractor preparing a bridge over I-35 in Bell County set for demolition has been injured after falling from a scaffold Monday.
Officials say the accident happened about 10:30 a.m. as the man was working on asbestos abatement under the bridge over the Lampasas River.
The bridge is being torn down and will be replaced with a longer, more modern bridge.
