The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s weekly flu report shows that the flu is widespread in Texas this season.

According to FOX29, after several weekly reports, the CDC noted that the flu is now widespread in Texas.

The flu is considered widespread in the state if there has been an increase in at least half of the regions. In the most recent report, there is also a high possible flu level in New Mexico.

Texas is at the second highest level.

During this flu season, three people have died in El Paso.

The CDC says to fight the flu you should get you and your family vaccinated. They also said to avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
