Lani, 13, loves to bake, so we spent some time decorating cupcakes and cookies at All Sugar'd Up in Waco.
Alohilani, or Lani as her friends call her, is in her element at All Sugar'd Up. A baking crash course from owner Kim that's full of sprinkles, sugar and creating sweet treats.
"Tell me what your biggest dream is?" asked Central Texas News Now Anchor Lindsay Liepman.
"I want to own my own business. There are a lot of things I could do. I could be a counselor. I could be a teacher. A baker. I could be in fashion, a model. I can be artistic," said Lani.
The future mini-mogul knows that the challenges she's faced can, and will be overcome.
"You do know there's a family for you," said Liepman.
"I know there's a family for me. I'm just hoping that it will come soon and not later. I want someone to go home to and I can call Mom and Dad," said Lani.
Lani has an older sister that she wants to remain close to and will thrive in a home where she gets the love and attention she deserves possibly as an only child or a home with younger children.
"I just want to be stable. I don't want to move from place to place to place. It's happened too much," Lani said.
Lani has an instant glow and a smile that's as big as her personality.
"And you want to go to Baylor?" asked Liepman.
"Yes! Baylor is amazing," said Lani.
And one other thing about Lani... she has an amazing voice.
"There's nothing you can't do!" said Liepman.
