Two arrested after police find drugs, 13 firearms in home

MEXIA, TX — Two were arrested after police executed search warrant on Thursday.

According to Mexia police, on Thursday JCAT executed a search warrant at a residence on the 300 block of S Herman Street in Mexia.

This comes after an investigation into the sales and use of illegal narcotics at the residence.

A significant amount of narcotics, along with drug paraphernalia and distribution supplies, a reported stolen vehicle and 13 firearms were recovered at the scene.

Two adults were arrested and booked into the county jail on various charges.

Mexia police said they would like to thank the JCAT, Limestone County DA, Mexia Fire and Rescue, EMS and Precinct 3 Constable Shoemaker and K9 Teddy for their roles in the operation.
