MEXIA — One man is recovering in an area hospital after a shooting at a nightclub Sunday morning.
Mexia police said that officers responded to Club 84 on W. Milam at 1:39 a.m.
Officers had heard gunshots in the area coming from the direction of the club. When they arrived on the scene, a man was lying on the ground in the club's parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was taken to Baylor Scott and White.
No arrests have been made.
Mexia police was assisted by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Groesbeck police, Limestone County Sheriff's Office and Mexia Fire & Rescue.
