Honor Flight Austin to take 50 Austin-area veterans to Washington D.C.

AUSTIN, TX — Honor Flight Austin's first flight of spring 2019 will transport 50 Austin-area veterans to Washington D.C.

They will depart from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Veterans from World War II, Korean and Vietnam War will visit the nation's capital to visit and experience the memorials built in their honor.

Honor Flight Austin is set to depart at 11:55 a.m. on Friday. They will return to Austin on Saturday at 5:45 p.m.

Honor Flight Austin is a nonprofit organization created to honor veterans by transporting them to visit and reflect at their war memorials.

It serves veterans living in Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gillespie, Gonzalez, Hays, Lee, Llano, Milam, Travis and Williamson Counties.
