MILAM COUNTY, TX — A driver is "alert" after her car was hit by a train in Milam County Wednesday.
According to Union Pacific, the crash happened around 4:20 p.m. at a private crossing west of CR-346 along Highway 190.
According to the Milam County Sheriff's Office, the driver was in the car at the time of the crash.
First responders removed the woman from the car and transported her to a hospital. The Milam County Sheriff's Office said the driver was conscious, alert and seemed fine.
Union Pacific says there is a stop sign at that private crossing, however there are no lights and gates.
It is unknown how the woman's car became stuck on the tracks.
