What is your job?
I lead a team of journalists covering the most important stories in Central Texas. Some of my responsibilities include team development, maintaining a budget and big picture thinker.
When did you start working here?
I started as News Director on October 14, 2019.
Where else have you worked?
I have worked a various TV stations in top 10 local markets and ABC News and CBS News.
Where did you go to college?
I graduated from Morgan State University.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Salisbury, MD.
What are some of the biggest news stories you have covered or led coverage of?
I've covered a variety of stories over the course of my career including 9/11, the Great Recession and the death of Michael Jackson and Prince.
What is your philosophy on news?
I believe as a journalist my job is to hold the powerful accountable and give voice to the voiceless. I take pride in keeping the community informed on important issues.
What do you love about living here?
Waco is a feeder city situated between Dallas and Austin. When I want the big city feel, all I need to do is hop in my car and drive 90 miles in either direction for good food and fun.
