GEORGETOWN, TX — A Georgetown ISD bus driver has been arrested for online solicitation of a minor. The district said Richard Malley was immediately placed on administrative leave when they learned of the investigation.
Georgetown police do not believe the minor and the man knew each other prior to online contact.
The district said they are working to notify parents of children that rode his bus.
"Please know that the safety of your child is our top priority," the district said. "Georgetown ISD employees go through a thorough background check with DPS and the FBI. This individual had no reported history that would have prevented his employment with our district."
