DALLAS, TX — T. Boone Pickens, a legendary energy executive, passed away on Wednesday. He was 91 years old.
According to his website, the Dallas native battled a series of strokes and further head injuries he sustained in a 2017 fall. He died of natural causes surrounded by friends and family on Sept. 11.
Pickens was in the energy industry, he was a health and fitness advocate and a generous philanthropist.
He is survived by his five children, 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Plans for memorial services in Dallas, Texas, and Stillwater, Oklahoma, are pending.
