WACO, TX — A Waco police officer is receiving praise from a mother when he came to her rescue after her tire blew out. The officer helped out the mom by taking her daughter to school.

The Facebook video was posted on Wednesday by Shemecas Shanta Mabry telling the story.

In the video, she said Officer John Rozyskie saw her and her daughter stranded after the car's tire blew out.

Her daughter had 30 minutes to get to school and Officer Rozyskie came to the rescue. He gave a ride to Mabry and her daughter so she could go to school.

"He did not have to do that, to make sure she gets to school on time," Mabry said. "I'm riding with her so she can be comfortable."

Officer Rozyskie even put the girl's car seat in the back of his vehicle.

He has been with the Waco Police Department since 1990.
