Our latest tropical system has developed in the northern Gulf of Mexico and has formed into Tropical Storm Edouard. Although winds have been holding steady at 45 to 50 mph it is possible for this storm to strengthen to a Category 1 hurricane just prior to landfall. The most likely location for Edouard to make landfall is near the Houston/Galveston Bay area sometime at or before noon on Tuesday. The storm is expected to track to the west and northwest through the Brazos Valley and across the southern part of Central Texas. The main weather threats will be torrential rainfall, winds gusting to 50 mph and isolated tornados.
