... for our patients, and our community.
That's the Providence Women's and Children's unit difference, whatever your stage of need. Even before your baby is born, we offer a variety of classes that can be of service to you. Childbirth classes, breastfeeding classes, car seat safety classes and even sibling classes for the new big brother or sister are offered on a regular basis. Check out our website at www.providence.net/WomenChildCenter.htm or call De Anna Goins at 751-4567, for class times and information. Our caring and experienced staff will take care of you in our roomy labor rooms to make it the best transition into parenthood possible.
After the delivery of your baby, we support your efforts to bond with your new child by allowing your new little one to stay in the room with you. This also allows you to experience and have wonderful picture opportunities while seeing your baby weighed, and baby's first bath. However, if your little one needs some extra care, our knowledgeable staff and Level II nursery is just steps away. If you decide to breastfeed, we have a breastfeeding specialist available to help you along your way. Having a cesarean section? Our operating rooms are on the same floor, and your infant will join you in the recovery room so that you are still able to experience the benefits of rooming-in with your new and precious little bundle of joy.
