Dr. William Robert Pitts earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He completed an internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital and residency training in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School affiliated hospitals. Dr. Pitts completed fellowship training in cardiology at eh University of Texas Southwestern Medical School affiliated hospitals. He is board certified by the the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal medicine in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Dr. Pitts is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Heart Association, Council on Circulation, Texas Medical Association, and the McLennan County Medical Society. Dr. Pitts was awarded the Family Practice Center Teaching Award and the Anyesworth Award for Texas. He has also published several original publications. He currently practices at Waco Cardiology Associates in Waco, Texas.
