Sara joined the News Channel 25 team as a reporter in November of 2005. She covered Bell and Coryell County, along with Fort Hood. Sara took over Weekend Anchor in November of 2007.
A true Central Texan, Sara hails from the booming city of China Spring. She began her journalism career in college while working as a production assistant, writing for her college newspapers and reporting on the side-lines at Tarleton State University football games... and yes, she does bleed purple.
While in college, Sara received third place at the Texas Intercollegiate Press Conference for TV Sports Writing. Despite being a fanatical football fan, especially when watching her brothers, who played for Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, Sara knew reporting the news was her true passion.
After graduation from TSU in the fall of 2004, Sara reported for the Killeen Daily Herald. She covered the courts system in Bell County, before making the switch to television.
In her free-time, Sara enjoys spending time with her family and friends. A true Texan, she also loves anything to do with Texas, including a great steak, country music, and Dr Pepper. She lives for warm weather and in the summer, can be found somewhere in or near the water!
Sara considers herself truly lucky to be covering news for her fellow Central Texans and welcomes your story ideas!
