WACO, TX — Baylor basketball is fresh off a road win against ranked Iowa State, but that doesn't mean they're taking a down West Virginia team lightly.

"First of all, why the Big 12 is the best conference in the country is everyone is dangerous and everyone is good," said head coach Scott Drew with a laugh, "Coach [Bob] Huggins is a hall of fame coach and his guys are always ready to play."

The Mountaineers have shown that's true with a home win over Kansas this season.

"Kansas went in there and lost because they weren't ready I guess," added Drew. "Or, you just say West Virginia is really good and I like to think everyone is good in the league."

Baylor knows the Mountaineers will come into the Ferrell Center ready to play, but the Bears recipe for success is very similar to the first outing.

"We got off to a great start. Makai [Mason] did a great job not only distributing but scoring the ball," said Drew. "Late their pressure bothered us, but defensively we were able to make sure they didn't get close to bother us enough."

That hot start will need to happen in Waco as well and with Mason back in the line up fans can expect some action early.
