Killeen ISD police are investigating an anonymous online threat that was made at Manor Middle School.
According to the district, an anonymous person posted on social media a threat of violence at the middle school. School officials notified Killeen ISD police and they are investigating the threat to try and find a suspect.
The district has increased the police presence at the school and is taking appropriate actions to maintain a safe learning environment.
Manor Middle School Principal Rhea Bell informed parents of the situation.
“We are proud of our students who saw this social media threat and immediately told school officials about it, which allowed us to immediately contact police. We encourage all our students to always report anything they see or hear that could threaten the security of the school,” Principal Bell said.
