The Rowlett Police Department is not happy - and for good reason.

The police department had a viral post a few months ago after a drunk driver hit one of their police vehicles. They said in a Facebook post on Friday that in the previous post, they had a lot of positive feedback.

"After the mostly positive responses from last post, everyone is going to be adults and responsible and not drink and drive, right? It can't happen again in the same month, right?" the police department said.

So when their vehicle got hit again by a drunk driver, the department was stunned.

On Thursday while police were working an accident, they said a suspected drunk driver slammed into an unoccupied squad car, pushing it into a fire truck that was also responding. Before hitting the squad car, the vehicle narrowly missed another fire truck.

"Last night's fine citizen was like 'hold my beer', barely swerved at the last second to miss the HUGE FIRE ENGINE and overcorrected his steering, slamming into the thankfully unoccupied squad car, and pushed it into the second engine," the police department said in a post.

No one was injured in the accident, and the suspected drunk driver is in police custody.

"If personal health and safety isn't enough of a motivator for you to do the right thing, just know if you keep wrecking our cars, our Chief is going to take them all away, and give us all bicycles," they added.
