A man was arrested after police said that he crashed his car intentionally after becoming angry with passengers.

Waco police said the incident happened on Nov. 10. near 37th and Sanger Avenue.

When police arrived on scene, two women said they were passengers in a car driven by Teion McGowan.

The women said that they drove to a home on Frost Street to pick up McGowan, who was one of the victim's boyfriend. McGowan asked to drive. McGowan and his girlfriend began to argue and McGowan began driving into oncoming traffic, speeding and running through red lights.

The victims said that McGowan asked them "if they want to die" and that "he did."

Police said that McGowan then hit a curb in an attempt to hit a telephone pole located at the corner of 37th and Sanger. The car missed the pole but lodged itself on the curb.

McGowan ran from the scene.

He was arrested on Feb. 18 and is being held on a $2,000 bond.
