Entrepreneurs pushing the limits to make their dreams come true are celebrated for their achievements.
The Black Business Awards Gala Texas honored professionals committed to their community Friday at the Harker Heights Event Center.
A climb to success and a commitment to inspire others are what bind the group of leaders together.
“We are understanding our power, the power of the black dollar. And really just coming together as a community not a crab in a barrel type situation,” said Khandese Cooper, a second-generation entrepreneur.
She shared that resources and empowering other owners are the focus of the organization.
The group also works to inspire young people with an interest in entrepreneurship.
“For us to be prominent and dominant black business owners we’re planting those seeds into our youths so they can be future business owners because they have equity into the community,” said Ronnie Russell, event organizer and entrepreneur.
