Former city councilman, former city manager file for council position in Hewitt

A former councilman who resigned from that position in July is now running for office this spring.

Kurt Krakowian is one of the five people who filed for a place on the May 4 ballot for city councilman at large. Adam Miles, the former Hewitt City Manager, who left his job after signing a mutual separation agreement with the city, is also entering the race.

Betty Orton who ran for the position before also put her name on the ballot in the spring. Michael S. Bancale and Mike Field also entered the race.

Travis Bailey, Charles Turner filed for a place on the ballot for Ward 1. Matthew Mevis is running for city council Ward 2.

A.C. "Tony" Martinez who ran for office before entered the race for Ward 3. Erica Bruce who currently is the city council member at large is running for a place in the ballot for city council member for Ward 3.

For Waco City Council, Hector Sabido, who is the board president of a nonprofithelping children with early literacy skills, is running for the city council position in District 2. That position is currently held by Mayor Pro Tem Alice Rodriguez who has been in the council for years.

Incumbent Dillon Meek filed for a place on the ballot for the city councilman position of district 4. 

Incumbent Jim Holmes is running for office again in district 5. 

The deadline to enter the May 4 race was Feb. 15 at 5 p.m.
