A Central Texas doctor was arrested on Thursday for aggravated assault.
The Woodway Public Safety Department said on Feb. 5, Daniel Smith assaulted a woman while he was intoxicated at her home. The woman reported that Smith kicked her in the face, breaking one tooth and chipping another, and in the chest and stomach area.
Woodway PSD said the woman sustained significant bruising and pain.
Smith was booked into the McLennan County Jail for aggravated assault - family violence.
According to the Texas Medical Board, Smith is a licensed physician specializing in pathology and cytopathology in the Waco area.
